Da Vinci Vision. 

     What is Da Vinci Vision?
     In simply terms Da Vinci Vision is a management method  for
     image production. 

     Like any management system it incorporates three basic concepts:
    Strategy : Structure and Skill.
   
    Modern management concepts have been devised to present your
    with a product that will produce top quality images.

    Until now image making has been thought of as a ,craft, art,
    science, instinct, trial and error or a even a natural talent. 

    Photography in general is a science that may have an emotional
   impact on the viewer, at that point it may be transformed to the
   “art” status.  Great artists like Leonado Da Vinci created
   images that not only were very emotive but contain basic or
   complex scientific and /or  mathematical construction  methods.
   These concepts were no secret to  many teachers and students alike.
   Da Vinci was one of the first to write down what he had

   observed and practised himself.  His first “ note book “ was written
   on “light”, the basic tool we use n photography.

Course Structure.

The basic structure of the course consists of a series of workshops and classes. Each workshop is completed in on day of six hours or in two evening classes of 3 hours each.

THE MASTER Certificate entails attending  12 modules of
workshops and classes and completing  the assignments within a 12 month period.
The classes and workshops can be attended as a unit or in groups to fulfil a particular interest.

Mastering Digital Imaging. MDI A1-3

Two days. AUGUST 30th-  31th 2008.  $295

This modules will the foundation of your image management system
In four parts:
       Planning and design  images.
       Picturing:  The camera.
       Processing: using  Digital manipulation Photoshop
       Printing,: publishing, and presenting.
The workshop costs include the 'eCard"

This workshop is the most popular and is the most important to attend and understand.
THE FIRST DAY.

We begin with an overview of images and design concepts.
Moving to the camera. You learn how to calibrate and control the optical system to optimize the photographic trifecta of colour, contrast and density.  This process enables you to produce files that have the information that is capable of post capture processing.

This leads to the use of processing control with such application as Adobe Photoshop and how easily this can be used to give highly
accurate  colour images in seconds. Let the computer do the work.
No more guessing colours. Get it perfect in seconds without any additional software.

We conclude with a detail of various output systems and their needs.
This involves paper and electronic storage and distribution. 

The Second Day.

Outdoor and indoor lighting. Demos of posing male and females. Couples  etc.

On location : You will put into play the camera operations you selected the day before.

Learn to see light and control contrast with light shapers and reflectors.

Use studio lights and find out how to produce dramatic Hollywood style portraits.

Using flash outdoors.

Selecting light direction, backgrounds, work with the natural and ''built' setting.

Process the images in Photoshop in seconds. 

Bring your camera, manual, lens, tripod.

Small classes of about 10 students.
